"Heretics" on This American Life

Last Saturday This American Life rebroadcast a show about what happens when an evangelical embraces universalism. Originally airing seven years ago, the program detailed Bishop Carlton Pearson's adoption of the doctrine of universalism, which he entitles the gospel of inclusion, and how that radically changed his stature within Pentecostal evangelicalism. The portion I was able to catch fascinated me, both from the standpoint of how Bishop Pearson changed in his theology, but also from the standpoint of the reporter, Russell Cobb, and his presentation of the issue as a non-believer. A worthwhile listen for a number of reasons.
