After finishing Wright's book on Justification, I began Esther Lightcap Meek's book Loving to Know: Covenant Epistemology. I have always been interested in epistemology, more so recently as I have taken on a regular assignment of teaching hermeneutics to doctoral students. It's fair to say that my goal in that course is to help students see that addressing how we know is an important part of a mature hermeneutical mind. Meek recently spoke at DTS during Arts Week on this very topic (her lectures are available at the DTS Chapel website), which prompted me to get her book for a deeper dive into her thinking. I'll keep you posted on my thoughts as I wade through it.
